Comments Policy

We believe that comments are an important part of the Atlantis Archives and is a useful tool in encouraging the views and opinions of visitors to the site. Unfortunately, they can also be used abused by people who have no real interest in Atlantis or related subject material therefore we have a few basic rules in place that we ask anyone who is leaving a comment to bear in mind:

1. Comments on Atlantis Archives are appreciated – they are as important as anything else that may be published within the pages of the site. They add to the knowledge and community that we are attempting to build here and can encourage lively discussion on the subjects concerened. If you want to comment then you’re more than welcome – whether you feel you are a beginner or an expert – feel free to have your say.

2. Spam is not tollerated. We have spam filters in place which catch the majority of automated spam. comments. I personally don’t enjoy it and neither do those people who visit the site. Any spam that does slip through I will delete immediately.

3. Atlantis Archives encourages the use of relevant links in comments – if you’re leaving a comment on any of the articles within Atlantis Archives and want to point to a link on your own or someone else’s site that is relevant to the topic then please feel free to do so. This adds to the conversation and improves the site.

4. Irrelevant comments and links are not encouraged – if you leave a comment or link that has no relevance to the post you’re commenting on then it will be deleted. Multiple posting is also not appreciated.

5. If you are new to the site and leaving a comment for the first time it is likely that your comment will not show up immeditaly until after it has been approved by a moderator.

6. Comments are moderated for the benefit of all those who use the site and we reserve the right to remove any comment for whatever reason. In addition we reserve the right to edit any comments posted for spelling and grammar.
