One person calls Atlantis a Continent and so many follow. The statement by Plato reads "and the land opposite is truly a Continent " The Cyclades and Astipalea are the remains of the island of Atlantis,and If you superimpose The two islands from the Egyptian map onto this area and Crete they fit almost perfect to scale. And as for calling Gibraltar ,the Pillars of Hercules.It certainly wasn't the ancient Greeks,their Pillars are now under water,destroyed in an earthquake about 300 BC ,part of the Sarconic Gulf.
